Obituary of Charles "Willie" Trujillo

Charles William (“Willie”) Trujillo was born on December 29, 1967 to Charles V. Trujillo and Eleanor Perez Monroe.   Willie was their only son and was raised primarily in Anaheim, California.

Willie married the love of his life, Lisa Swensen, on January 11, 1992.  Shortly afterwards, they decided to go on the adventure of a lifetime and move to Arizona.  Willie and Lisa flourished in Arizona as they both embarked on their professions, bought a house, made friends as their marriage flourished and grew.

Willie was a huge sports fan following not only the local teams in Arizona but staying true to the teams he grew up watching.  He was a Cowboys fan at heart and even traveled to Texas to see them play at their Home Stadium.  Willie enjoyed traveling, especially to the National Parks.  This is a love that he acquired from his parents growing up.  Many times, he would invite family and friends to enjoy the earth’s natural beauty and would love spending his time with the people he cared about the most.

Willie was a man of faith.  Following in Jesus’ example, he was a friend to all.  He did not judge.  He was selfless and always willing to lend a hand or buy a meal to those in need.  He was a friend to many and would always go the extra mile to help.  His smile was contagious, and his quiet strength, humor, dedication, loyalty, and kindness is something to be revered.  Willie was a great husband, son, brother, nephew and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

Willie is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Lisa, his mother Eleanor and her husband Jim; his father Charles and his wife Teresa, his sister Charlene and brother-in-law Blake.  He was also devoted to Lisa’s family and leaves behind his father-in-law Frank.  Willie is also survived by his many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and extended family that were all a part of his circle of life.
