Obituary of Suzzann Todd

Suzzann Neir Todd joined her beloved husband in eternal peace on March 14, 2021. Born Suzzann Marie Neir, "Sue" was the youngest of three children to Dorothy and Harley Neir. Sister to Barbara Moats and Ronald Neir; mother to Mary Daniels and David Todd; grandmother to Lucy and Kyle Daniels, and David"s two children. Sue graduated from St. Lukes School of Nursing and left home to follow adventure out west. In Denver, Colorado she met the love of her life, John Todd, and they married on December 5, 1970. Sue grew up a true farm girl in Marcus, Iowa, and developed a love for animals and nature that lasted a lifetime. She worked diligently throughout her life to serve others. Sue worked as a dialysis nurse and was a light to all her patients and coworkers. Sue retired in 2012 and embraced the sunny Arizona outdoor lifestyle through her morning walks with her dog, bird watching, and enjoying her beautiful backyard. Sue was amazed, thankful, and joyous for the smallest details of life and appreciated all kindnesses and gestures. Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family and friends, and of course, her animals. Sue was a friend to all she met, always the first to offer a helping hand and one of her famous home-cooked meals! She enjoyed volunteering at her church and socializing with friends, and was an active member of the Audubon Society. Sue"s love of life was infectious and all around her felt energized by her positive and genuinely happy nature. Services will be held on May 22, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert, Arizona. Sue will be laid to rest at the Marcus-Amherst Cemetery in Marcus, Iowa.
