Obituary of Gary Frank Leifer
Gary Frank Leifer of Heber-Overgaard, Arizona, beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, devoted Green Bay Packer fan, and dog whisperer passed away on Monday, April 22, 2024.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Edie Leifer; daughters, Lisa Woltkamp (John), Renee Guitteau (Greg), Gina Kneisley (Tony); son, Greg Leifer (Donna); stepdaughters, Sherri Parker (Jim), Lynn Kruse; stepson, Kevin Parker; his German Shepherd, Morgan; grandchildren, Derek, Ashlee, Megan (Jake), Jake, Matthew, Jett, Mitchell, Toby, Heather, Timmy (Sierra), Kahlee (Eric), Kyle (Tiffany), Cami (Eric), Chad; great grandchildren, Hayden, Heidi, Rilynn, Brycen, Weston, Branson, Marley, Wrenley; brother George "Pat" Leifer; and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on March 27, 1941. He moved with his family to Arizona in 1978 and worked as a teamster until he retired. Gary and Edie split their time between Heber, AZ and Queen Creek, AZ. He enjoyed grilling, watching the Packers, playing bingo, camping, stock car racing, and riding his ATV. He loved spending quiet days on the porch with family.
We will be having a celebration of life later this year.
